James David Rodríguez Rubio was born on July 12, 1991 in the city of Cúcuta, He is the number 10 of Colombia Soccer team, and is currently a player of Real Madrid (Spanish League).

Son of Pilar Rubio Gómez and of Wilson James Rodríguez Bedoya, Their parents separated when James was five years.

In December 2010 he married sportswoman, Daniela Ospina, a prominent professional volleyball player and sister of the goalkeeper of the Colombia Soccer Team, David Ospina.
